Meet our Gang!!
Highland Cattle
We have a small herd of 4 Highlands.
Flint, top left, is our steer and the most friendly of the herd. He came to us from Bowling Green, KY
Midnight, our only black one, is our oldest Highland and our cow. We hope to breed her soon so that we will have a calf in the Spring. Midnight is really shy but if you have a piece of bread, she'll gladly eat it out of your hand. She came to us from Missori.
Lao is our, top right, is our youngest and he is our bull. He has came along way as far as feeling comfortable with us and continues to like us more and more. If you're calm and move slowly, he will accept gentle hugs and brushing. We hope to use him as our herd sire. Lao came to us from Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania.
Tilly, bottom middle in the water trough, is our heifer. We're also hoping to get a calf from her next Spring. She is a spunky little thing but is also growing to like us more by the day. She's a lot like Lao temperment wise. She prefers calm quiet interactions. Tilly came to us from Franklin, TN
We also have a chickens that free range out in the pasture! The other critters serve as protection for our chickens. We currently have 5 English Orpington hens that are great layers. Their names are Lucy & Ethel, Sarah, Sally & Sue.
Guests will have the opportunity to gather their own eggs. We plan to add more varieties in the future.
We have 6 fainting goats here on the farm! Our buck is Finley and he is the one with the longest fur. Zayla is one of our does and she is the brown and white one. Our little guy is Dandy, which is short for Dandelion.
We have 2 another doe kids named Etta and Ella an a wether named Carl. Carl is named after Carla's dad who she lost in 2018.
Meet Butterscotch and Ace! Butterscotch is a cart trained mini. She'll be pulling a cart for rides. Ace is more on the timid side, but we are working with him and have hopes that he'll be able to give rides to small children.
Juliana Mix Miniature Pig and a Pot Belly Pig
Albert is our feisty little guy born in May of 2023 on a farm in Garfield, KY. He seems to love sharing an area with our 3 chicks and they act as if they are his mom often keeping him sheltered and insulated. Albert is a very fast little one and loves to run around. We're still working on his socialization.
Arnold, our Pot Belly, is 5 years old, born in 2019, and loves, loves, loves, belly scratches!!
Lead Exterminator
MJ is our lead exterminator. She is always on the hunt for mice and other critters that she doesn't think need to be on the farm. Don't let that serious face fool you though. She does enjoy a good belly rub on her terms and her time in true feline fashion. She has a few kittens and a few other helpers roaming around, but you probably won't see them much. They like to do their work without humans distracting them.
Security Donkey
We have added a donkey to our crew. His name is Mellow Yellow and he was born in 2020.
He's a very sweet guy unless he's working to protect our other critters, then it's all seriousness.
